Welcome to UN Women UK UEA Society!

UN Women is the UN entity working towards making gender equality a reality in every way: from grassroots programmes with the most vulnerable women and girls, to changing attitudes, and helping governments design gender-equal policy.

Here at UN Women UK UEA we aim to challenge injustice; help us to remove social and cultural barriers for women, promote a world in which women can exercise her human rights to maximise her potential, and ensure every woman and girl has access to SAFETY. CHOICE. VOICE.

As a society we will:

• host regular meetings and socials to discuss actions for change - locally, nationally, and globally
• organise events to fundraise in support of UN Women 
• promote inclusion for all, not just women, regardless of gender identity, race, ethnicity, sexuality, or ability

We are united for every woman. Because the gender equality movement starts with you.
