Welcome to UEA's newest and greatest sports society, welcoming people from all abilities and backgrounds!
Handball at UEA has been a thing of the distant past, but it is now a reality. Here is some more things about our club:
What is Handball?
Handball is a dynamic, high-energy team sport that combines the strategic plays of basketball with the speed of football, all centered around skillful throwing and teamwork. Played on an indoor court, two teams compete to score by passing, dribbling, and shooting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. Known for its fast pace and exciting intensity, handball challenges players’ agility, strength, and coordination, making it a thrilling experience for both athletes and fans. It’s the perfect sport for anyone looking to enjoy teamwork, strategy, and a bit of friendly competition!
How does the club work?
Memberships are set at the low price of £15. Buying a membership gives you access to the club, including various socials, regular handball sessions and competitive tournaments. Sessions are run on a pay as you go basis, with prices and times to be confirmed in the near future.
Are you a club or a society?
As of October 2024, we are a society at UEA, meaning you don't have to pay for the UEA sport+ membership fees to join our club. This gives our members an incredibly accessible way to get active, and stay fit, all whilst enjoying a new sport!
I am not a student of UEA, can I still join?
Our club is predominantly for students at UEA, however, you may qualify for an associate membership at UEASU, please contact us on instagram to discuss this further.
How do I join?
Purchase a membership, follow our instagram, join the whatsapp chat. Thats all there is to it! Look out for updates for when our sessions are on our Instagram and Whatsapp chats!
