UEA Labour Society is a student group open to all on the left supporting the labour movement and the campaign for a rational, compassionate, eco-socialist government. We are committed to providing a safe space for politically interested students to debate, discuss and socialise!
We hold a mix of political educational events and relaxed, fun socials, with membership input on topics and speakers they would like to see. We have also been the leading on-campus activism society for the previous few years, joining lecturers on strike, attending the National Union of Students Conference 2024 in Blackpool, raising awareness of the ongoing genocide in Palestine, and much more! For years we have been campaigning within the Students' Union - our President, Sam, is a Non-Portfolio Officer elect, and our Vice President, Ali, is the Non-EU International Officer elect!
You don't need to be a Labour Party member (might even be better if you're not) to join the society or to come along to any of our events, all are welcome and all are appreciated!
