We are deeply shocked and heartbroken by last night's incident that resulted in the loss of Mohammed Farraj, a valued member of our UEA community. This is a tragedy, and our thoughts and condolences are with their family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.

As we navigate through this period of grief, we recognise that it will be challenging for many within our community. It is more important than ever that we come together to support one another. We ask that you check in on friends, colleagues, and anyone affected.

We also ask that everyone remains sensitive to those impacted by this loss. Please refrain from sharing unverified information or discussing details in group chats or public forums to prevent the spread of misinformation and avoid causing further distress.
