Recreational sailing (International Women's Day)

Rec sailing for International Women's Day. Women encouraged but everyone welcome!

Come along and give sailing a try! This session is open to anyone and all abilities are welcome.  

We provide all transport. We will leave UEA from the LCR turning circle (just in front of the Hive) at 09:30 and return around 13:30. Make sure to get to the LCR turning 15 minutes early! We will drive to Wroxham Broad (25 mins) and spend about 2 hours sailing. 

We also provide all the necessary safety equipment like wetsuits and buoyancy aids, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have it. 

All beginners will be paired with more experienced sailors and you're very welcome to sail with a friend - if there is someone you want to be partnered with, let us know! 

You will need to bring: 

• Swimming kit (for under the wetsuit) 

• Shoes you don’t mind getting wet (+ a spare pair to come home in) 

• Towel 

• Warm clothes for after sailing  

• Any food and drink you need  

• Waterproof jacket/suncream/sunglasses/water etc.
