GeekSoc is back this Thursday! Join us at our usual time of 18:30 in NewSci 0.01 as we boldly go where twelve shows and thirteen movies have gone before – the universe of Star Trek!

Star Trek is set in a utopian future society where diversity is celebrated and food comes out of a magic hole in the wall. The franchise began in the 1960s, following a dashing hero with a penchant for pregnant pauses who explored the galaxy with his motley crew.

The Next Generation, a follow-up series set about a century further into the future, stars famous bald man Patrick Stewart as the similarly-bald Captain Jean-Luc Picard. As we watch the show, look out for fan-favourite characters like Grumpy Mister Woof, Android Pinocchio, Child Prodigy Wil Wheaton, and more! Common plotlines include: Trickster God Flirts With The Captain, Troi’s Mum Causes A Nuisance, and The Brent Spinder Show Featuring Brent Spiner And Brent Spiner. The Security Chief slipped in a puddle, the ship’s counsellor can read your emotions except when she can’t, and the First Officer seeks Jamaharon. And try not to get on the bad side of our recurring villains, Space Zombies, Angry Forehead Twins, and Another Brent Spiner!
