A fun day out doing active conservation work

We will be running another trip to Buxton Heath this saturday, pickup at 9:20 at the security lodge phone boxes. From here you will be transported to Buxton and spend the morning cutting back Birch trees in order to preserve the heathland. In the afternoon a walk around the sight will occur which is a great opportunity to encounter all sorts of wildlife!!!

Please bring a lunch with you as this will not be provided and also any hot or cold drinks you would like. It is advised to be aware of the weather and bring appropriate clothing for all eventualities. Wellington boots are thoroughly reccomended but can be provided if you do not have a pair. Otherwise a good pair of walking boots should do the job.

Any further questions please do not hesistate to contact either VIA CAWs instagram or by getting in touch with the president Lachlan Royle (qvh23hbu@uea.ac.uk).
