The History soc Day Walks collab is back for its second year!

The area of Mousehold Heath has over 75 million years of History, but it was first recorded in the Domesday book in 1086. The area previously spanned 200,000 acres, but after a series of enclosure agreements in the 18th century, the area is now no more than 184 acres. In the last 1,000 years, the area has undergone much change, from royal hunting ground to farmland, from rebellion encampment to a site of worship, from military training ground to an RAF base.

We will be uncovering the extraordinary history of Norwich and revealing hidden places that you may not have thought to look.

This walk is full of the secrets of Norwich, so join us to find out more!
