Our annual Christmas meal at the Coach & Horses is fast becoming a much-loved Day Walks tradition—and for good reason! This charming, half-timbered pub, nestled in the heart of town near the Forum and theatre, has a beautiful historic feel and festive atmosphere. Once a watering hole for travellers, it’s now the perfect spot for us to gather and celebrate the festive season together!

Whether you're a long-time member or new to the society, this is a fantastic chance to mingle, make new friends, and soak up some Christmas magic. And for some, it might even be your first taste of a traditional British pub experience!

We'll be enjoying the pub's delicious December roast menu, with options like Turkey, Beef, Gammon, Pork, or a hearty Nut Roast. Expect all the trimmings—crispy roast potatoes, honey-roasted carrots and parsnips, a medley of veg, and fluffy Yorkshire puddings finished off with gravy. And let’s not overlook the desserts! Sticky toffee pudding and brownies are just a couple of the tempting treats on offer. 😋
