Welcome to the Festival of Lights Celebration!

Join us for a magical evening as we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights! This vibrant occasion symbolises new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness. At this event, we’ll create a dazzling community spectacle, filling The Square with sparkes everywhere!

Make sure to head to The Square by 8:30 PM to collect your free sparklers from the collection point, where UEA SU staff will be ready to hand them out! Please remember, we ask you not to bring your own sparklers; just come ready to have fun! Be sure to bring your own lighters, as we’ll have a countdown for everyone to light their sparklers together, creating a breathtaking scene of lights all around.

For safety, please dispose of your sparklers in the bins provided after use. Let’s come together, celebrate our rich cultural heritage, and fill the night with laughter, joy, and the beautiful glow of sparklers. Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and family along for this unforgettable celebration of community and togetherness!
