Nine is the ninth official studio album from Dreadzone. It will be released on 04 October 2024 on Deluxe CD Bookpack and Double Black & Cherry Vinyl on their own Dubwiser label. It’s a reflection of the last 5 years and a culmination of growing and re-inventing the Dread sound. Dreadzone have been releasing albums and progressively bettering, refining and perfecting their own unique and inimitable take on dub since their inception in 1993. They have successfully navigated through an ever-changing musical landscape and have been a creative force now for over three decades.

After celebrating their 30-year anniversary in 2023, Nine welcomes the next phase of Dread with nine songs about redemption and division, love and loss and journeys inside, and around the earth. The album treads into new territories but still connects with the ambience of early Dreadzone albums. At the helm is producer, founder, writer and drummer Greg Dread with bass-master Leo Williams plus Bazil and Blake Roberts with new faces and voices joining Earl 16 and Spee on vocals on the record. Nine also features LSK (Faithless), Cheshire Cat (Leftfield), Zoe Devlin (Alabama 3) and contributions from Don Letts and original Dreadzone member Tim Bran.

Dreadzone opened the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury in 1994 and began to bring their unique blend of electro, dub and reggae to a wider audience, going on to chart several singles including their Top 20 hit ‘Little Britain’ and release a number of albums over the years. In 2023 they remastered their debut album 360° for a vinyl release on their own Dubwiser Records. Their last studio album ‘Dread Times’, released on their own Dubwiser label in 2017, stormed into the Top 40 UK Official Album Charts on release – the first time the band have charted in over 20 years.
