Welsh 5-piece Kids In Glass Houses today release Theme from Pink Flamingo, their first new music in eleven years, and the first taste of their forthcoming fifth album, Pink Flamingo, which is set for release on October 25th.

A whole lot has changed since Kids In Glass Houses released their fourth album Peace in 2013. You can hear every second of that turbulence, growth and rediscovery across comeback record Pink Flamingo though. “A lot has happened personally and in society since we went on hiatus, and I wanted this record to reflect that. It had to feel like ten years had passed,” explains vocalist Aled Phillips. “But it still needed the DNA of Kids In Glass Houses.”

Opening track and lead single Theme From Pink Flamingo crosses decades and serves as a check-in from Aled. “It’s about everything that has happened since that last album,” he offers, reflecting on a decade of societal and political upheaval. “It’s about how younger generations are constantly failed by those in charge because of self-interest and greed.”

The band returned to the stage in 2023 to celebrate the 15 year anniversary of their breakout debut (silver certified) album Smart Casual.  After appearances at the Slam Dunk Festivals in May, they completed a sold-out October UK headline tour to further celebrate the album, alongside a remixed and remastered re-release. “Our shows always felt like a community of like-minded individuals coming together, and it was beautiful to bring people back together after so many years,” Aled says. “They're probably my favourite shows we've ever done.”

While rehearsing for those first shows back, the band started to wonder what new Kids In Glass Houses music would sound like in 2024. “When you see that level of enthusiasm for your band and you’re having such a good time together, you can’t help yourself,” grins Aled.   Kids in Glass Houses are playing the following UK live shows, and can today also announce a 7 date intimate tour across the UK for November.

Bursting out of South Wales’ hotbed of talent in early 2007, the charismatic quintet Kids in Glass Houses found a large and loyal fanbase almost instantly thanks to their huge songs, tireless work ethic, charming demeanours and stylish aesthetic, with media support to match. With four Top 40 albums under their belt (Smart Casual, DIRT, In Gold Blood, Peace) and a live reputation envied by many, Kids In Glass Houses proved to be one of British rock’s finest talents. Throughout their career the band headlined stages globally & appeared on line-ups alongside Paramore, Stereophonics, Fall Out Boy & You Me At Six. They graced the covers of multiple magazines, had numerous Radio 1 playlisted singles & TV performances including Children In Need, MTV, and the London Olympics.
