Celebrate LGBTQ+ pride and self-expression with our exciting Necklace Making Workshop! In honor of LGBTQ+ History Month, we invite you to join us for a creative and empowering event where you can design and craft your very own unique necklace. This workshop is open to individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations, providing a safe and inclusive space for self-discovery and artistic exploration. No prior jewelry-making experience is necessary.
The workshop will be facilitated by local artist Emily Foster whose portfolio can be explored at http://www.emilyafoster.com or on Instagram @emily.a.foster.
This workshop will allow participants to make their own beaded necklaces featuring one of Emily’s illustrated charms (1 necklace per participant). Participants will be provided with all materials needed and there will be 3 choices of charm to choose from (pride seeds, self love seeds, or cowboy boots). Emily will be on hand to help generate ideas, provide any technical advice and assist with the assembly of the necklaces if needed.
This will take place in the Hive Exhibition Space on Tuesday 20th February 2-4pm.
