We are thrilled to announce that, following the success of previous awareness month exhibitions, we will be putting on another for Women's History Month this year!
On Wednesday 20th March at the Enterprise Centre, we're collaborating with our very own Art Society to celebrate the creativity of women and non-binary individuals. It's going to be a night filled with art, food, drinks, and music, showcasing the incredible talent of UEA students, staff, and local artists.
We'd like to invite everyone to be a part of this project! If you've got your own artwork that could be showcased, we'd love to hear from you. We welcome all forms of creative expression, whether it's textiles, prints, music, photography, or something completely unique. You can find out more information by visiting the event page.
UEA Sport are back with their series of events, This Girl Can!
Women's History Month is the perfect time to celebrate women in sport, and these sessions have a special emphasis on accessibility in sport - they are open to all skill levels and any women, non-binary and non-gender conforming individuals.
Did we mention that they are completely FREE?
Girls Are Loud is proud to present International Women's Day 2024 showcase.
With live performances from local female-lead artists - Kitty Perrin, Aphra and Hex Friends - it's bound to be a fun night celebrating women in the music industry and unapologetically LOUD!
Kitty Perrin's bold, pop tinged folk-style song-writing has earned acclaim from BBC Radio 1, 6 Music, Clash, Beats per Minute, and more.
Aphra's genre-weaving sound invites you to explore uncharted territories of emotion and imagination. Join the journey, as each note tells an intimate depiction of life as a late adolescent.
Hex Friends have made their mark on the local scene. Think Sick Joy, Dream Nails and Sorry all blended up and you get a little taste of Hex Friends.
This year, we are proud to launch Gig Pals on International Women’s Day, offering free tickets to Girls Are Loud and The Waterfront’s International Women’s Day Showcase.
Our aim is to create a supportive and inclusive space for music lovers to connect, share experiences and attend live gigs together.
Discover the joy of live music in the company of new friends who share your enthusiasm. Break the barrier of attending gigs alone and make memories and new pals!
