Flourish

How are you being represented?

It can be difficult to see yourself reflected in popular culture and the world of celebrity if you have a disability - when the media seems obsessed with seemingly perfect individuals, and simultaneously painting anything different as a negative.

But if you look beneath the surface, the world is full of people who have overcome adversity and become trailblazers in their field despite the stigma that society has placed on their disability. Disability History Month is all about elevating these individuals, empowering those that feel a familiarity with their situation and watching a new generation flourish as they come into their own.
